Jules Wabbes, the Belgian interior architect, is known for his expressions of superior technical quality formulated with an authentic use of excellent materials, especially wood and metal. His modern, aristocratic furniture pieces are often perceived as stand-alone architectural objects. Published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels (BOZAR), this monographic volume exhaustively explores his work and legacy. Filled with archival images, design drawings and numerous full-colour plates, it also features texts by co-curator Iwan Strauven, design historian Fredie Floré and co-curator Marie Ferran-Wabbes.
