Emilio Ambasz reinvents the universe by creating urban complexes that rise like volcanoes of glass, works of architecture set in natural landscapes and gardens that turn into artificial mechanisms of the city, in a range of spatial and urbanistic proposals of absolute originality. The monograph documents the creative world of this Argentine-born American-based architect-designer from the crystalline complex of the San Antonio Botanical Center in Texas (1982) to the transparent container (Aqua Dove Mineral Water Bottle, 1987) and the opaque and granite office tower in Phoenix (1998), and focuses on his more recent works.
