The first monograph on the architects Marie-Claude Bétrix and Eraldo Consolascio takes the form of a «pattern book» that presents a detailed view of incisive aspects of their work. In their many years of confrontation with industrial architecture, Bétrix&Consolascio have tested new principles in the conception of façades, structural systems, and in the subdivision and outfitting of interiors from which later building projects will be able to achieve tremendous expressive power. The monograph introduces, among other objects, the buildings for energy supply in Salzburg (1985-2003), the womens clinic of the University Hospital Bern (2002), the Herti Sports Hall Zug (2001), the Pfizer Building (2003) and the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich (2007).
